Bach house Eisenach 2021

With a review of exhibition highlights, the Bachhaus Eisenach gGmbH celebrates its 20th anniversary on 5 July 2021 - and at the same time celebrates the completion of the new museum building 15 years ago. The permanent exhibition has also been extensively revised. In addition, 14 new animated films by the "Buchstabenschubsern" from Potsdam will be shown.

20 years ago, on 5 July 2001, Bachhaus Eisenach gGmbH, the operator of the Bach House in Eisenach, was notarially founded. The Bachhaus celebrates these anniversaries with highlights from eight exhibitions of the last 20 years.

The first printing of the "Musical Offering" from 1747 has now been integrated into the permanent exhibition. Several pictures have been added, books in "Bach's Theological Library" have been supplemented and a huge map has been hung in the room "Bach's Life in the Baroque", which was the most accurate representation of the German lands at the time.
