For the 8th time, Berlin’s municipal galleries - Kommunale Galerien Berlin – host the KGB Art Week. With 37 exhibitions in 31 galleries, the art festival presents about 200 emerging as well as internationally known artists. The exhibitions cover are variety of genres -  painting, graphics, photography, sculpture, video art as well as film, installations, performances and conceptual art, reflecting the capital’s diverse and vibrant art scenel. 

Various bicycle tours and walks guide visitor’s through the districts. The new format KGB-Young offers workshops for children and teenagers in galleries. All exhibitions and events are free of charge. 

The KGB Art Week offers ten days of getting to know vibrant places of art production throughout Berlin. The network of galleries, which is branched out across all districts of the city, operates independently of the art market. its decentralized setup corresponds to the artistic activity that extends throughout the city and is part of the respective neighborhood culture.
