SILBERSALZ Festival

Halle (Saale)

15-19 September 2021

The fourth international SILBERSALZ Festival is dedicated to the topic of Inequality. The aim is an exploration of the pressing question of how injustice and discrimination in society, politics, and environmental issues can be overcome in the future.

Free-of-charge exhibitions, films, performances, and discussions with renowned experts offer visitors the opportunity to participate in the current discourses of science, technology, and society. How can economics and growth be rethought? What role does climate change play? SILBERSALZ Festival, initiated in 2018 by the Robert Bosch Stiftung and Documentary Campus, offers a sphere for discussion at the crossroads of science, economics, politics, democracy, and society.

An extensive film program presents new film releases. For five days, internationally recognized scientists and experts will participate in a public round table in search of sustainable solutions. Interactive exhibitions offer clear and accessible presentations of science, innovative projects utilize virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), and installations and games make the topics come alive for people of all ages.

A youth program conducted in cooperation with schools, universities and makerspaces as well as a conference for experts conducted live from the Leopoldina complement the innovative offers of this cross-media and interactive platform.
