Open House at Fasanenstraße 24
15 October 2022
The Stiftung Exilmuseum will create spaces for events, presentations, and workshops for the first time in its new home at Fasanenstraße 24, entering a new phase on the path to the Exilmuseum at Anhalter Bahnhof.
In the future, the museum’s office will use the new premises in Charlottenburg as a workshop to further develop the construction and exhibition of the Exilmuseum am Anhalter Bahnhof. At the "Open House", the Stiftung Exilmuseum invites you to celebrate the move to the new premises at Fasanenstraße 24.
After a kick-off for invited guests on October 14, on October 15 all interested parties will have the opportunity to explore the still unfinished building, learn more about the future Exilmuseum, and engage in conversation with the museum team. They can experiment with the design language of the new building to be built at Anhalter Bahnhof, paint on the walls, leave their wishes for the Exilmuseum in a video room, discover light installations and tape art, and much more. In the "Speed Dating Exile Literature" event, Katja Riemann and Kenda Hmeidan will lend their voices to authors who have experienced exile at different times in history. The jazz trio of Anna Margolina, whose family itself had to flee into exile from the National Socialists, rounds off the program.
