Is It No More Beautiful Than That?
7 September - 2 October 2023
"Is It No More Beautiful Than That?" is the opening exhibition of curator and founder Tayla Camp’s new gallery project CAMP Space. Camp Space is establishing itself as a pop-up gallery that offers a platform to female artists and artists of color in particular.
The exhibition follows two young women artists as they navigate a complex, ever-deviating path from disillusionment and discontent to emotional fulfillment. Through new works in distinctly different yet thematically complementary styles, artists Roxanne Krumm (b. 1988, USA) and Skai (b. 1992, Lithuania) document their determined if not fraught efforts to seek truth and sanguinity both within themselves and their perception of the world around them.
Camp Space is a pop-up art gallery and roving cultural hub, driven by the vision of its owner and curator, Tayla Camp. Committed to spotlighting emerging artists, Camp Space has a vested interest in celebrating artworks by women artists and artists of color that elicit storytelling and meaning-making. Of particular importance to Camp Space is the democratization of art collecting, offering a range of artworks priced to accommodate all manner of budgets, from high-quality fine art prints, to both small and large-scale original paintings.

We are heartbroken. Our dear colleague and friend Celia passed away unexpectedly on January 18. We are mourning her deeply and feel an immense sense of loss. As a co-founder of Artefakt Kulturkonzepte, Celia shaped the agency from its very beginning. She was not only a driving force in our work, but also a trusted partner and a wonderful person whose presence meant so much to all of us. Working alongside her was a privilege, and her warmth, commitment, and clarity will stay with us. Our thoughts and deepest sympathy are especially with her family and loved ones at this painful time. May she rest in peace. We miss her greatly.
