WIKI LOVES MONUMENTS - Donate a picture for cultural heritage
Wiki Loves Monuments (WLM) is an annual international photo contest initiated and organized by the Wikipedia community. Photographers who love cultural and architectural monuments have been participating since 2011. Annually in September, now for the twelfth time, Wikipedia is looking for the best photos of built cultural heritage.
The Wiki Loves Monuments photo competition is realized in more than 40 countries. With more than one million files uploaded to the Wikipedia media archive Wikimedia Commons every year, the competition is considered the world's largest photo award. Germany is once again participating in WLM 2022, and the best photos from Germany will be submitted to the international jury, thus being introduced in many countries.
An overview of the German monument lists in Wikipedia is shown on a map, which was with data provided by the respective state monument offices and municipalities. Wiki Loves Monuments aims to get as many good photos of cultural and architectural monuments as possible for the Wikipedia under the free creative commons licenses.
