From 10 to 12 September, the Sony Center am Potsdamer Platz will be transformed into an exciting open-air art gallery for three days. At ART ESSENZ, contemporary artists have the opportunity to introduce will local Berliner and visiting tourists their work. With ART ESSENZ, the Sony Center has been supporting artists for many years - all the more important is the commitment in times of the Corona crisis. This year's ART ESSENZ will take place in compliance with strict hygiene and distance specifications. For this purpose, a comprehensive hygiene and infection protection plan has been developed.
Works in photography, painting, collage, graphics, sculpture and object art are presented personally by 22 national and international visual artists at Sony Center. Buying a work directly from the artist is very special. The new experience offers the opportunity to discover art in a new way. Art at home or at work creates an inspiring atmosphere. ART ESSENZ realizes this approach in an uncomplicated way with its immediate access to contemporary art. All exhibited works – originals, unique pieces, limited editions, series or multiples – are for sale - for larger as well as smaller budgets.
Once again, the Sony Center initiates the ART ESSENZ, which attracts many art fans every year. The art fair is one of many art and cultural events that take place at the Sony Center manifesting Berlin’s reputation as Germany's Capital of Culture. It is part of the Sony Center's mission to continuously offer a broad platform for art and culture and to support artists in the future.
