The Easy Rider Road Show is a photography exhibition on wheels that will be on the road and on display in the streets and squares of Berlin in August and September 2021.
The bicycle is a bearer of freedom – this was demonstrated once again during the pandemic. It has made movement possible where otherwise there was standstill and opened up spaces where everything was closed off. And it showed us that the possibilities of this simple piece of technology are far from exhausted even 200 years after its invention.
The photographs tell the stories of people exploring the world by bike, also depicting the many different forms of bicycles, from trick to track bikes, from mutant to mountain bikes.
Because cycling is an international language with many accents and in constant interaction with culture, fashion, music, design, politics, urban architecture and traffic concepts. Cycling is a way of life and a culture of protest, and an opportunity for genuine participation in the city. The pictures also tell of this.
