The Industrial Culture Tourism Network Brandenburg promotes significant industrial heritage sites in the area, presenting them as trip destinations and drawing more attention to the topic.
When the gentle rustling of the Brandenburg pines meets the hiss of steam engines, and a dip in the crystal-clear lakes can be combined with a journey back in time to the world of early inventors, summer has officially started in Brandenburg. On Saturday 8 August 2026, the state will celebrate the 4th Industrial Heritage Day. Locals and vacationers alike are invited to discover the vast, lush landscape with its hidden technological treasures. Over 30 authentic sites between Prignitz and the Lusatian Lake District offer rare insights, guided tours, excursions, hands-on activities and art exhibitions in extraordinary locations.
The vibrant glassmaking village of Baruth will be the festive center of this year’s state-wide Industrial Heritage Day.
