Bach, Art and Ideology
The exhibition "Luther, Bach – and the Jews“ explores Martin Luther's infamous antijewish writings as well as questions on antijudaism in Bach's passions as well as Bach's renaissance in Jewish Bourgouise in Berlin during the 19th century.

The Bachhaus celebrates Bach's 333th anniversary on 21 March with several events. The painting „So kämpfet nun, ihr muntern Töne“ by Berlin artist Berliner Malers Johannes Heisig (*1953) will be added to the collection, the new exhibition space dedicated to Bach's role in German ideology is opened as well as an area showing "Bach-Types" through six busts of the famous composer. Also, the atelier-exhibition „Hommage à Bach“ by French artists Jacob Reymond.

For the third year the Bach Museum in Eisenach, Germany, the place where Bach was born, will be presenting an exhibition at the Bach in Jerusalem Festival. This year' s exhibition, to take place in the YMCA lobby from 17 to 21 March, shows highlights from the museum's activities during the last 10 years.

Starting 27 April, the Bachhaus shows the exhibtion "Women and Bach's Music" introducing the role of women in the genesis, rediscovery and the reception of Bach's music.
