Action day at schools against antisemitism and racism
Anne Frank Day has set a new record for registrations: students at over 650 schools nationwide will send a clear signal against anti-Semitism and racism on the occasion of Anne Frank's birthday on June 12.
Anne Frank Day has been held annually since 2017 on Anne Frank's birthday to commemorate the Jewish girl and the crimes committed by the Nazis. Anne Frank is one of the most famous victims of the Holocaust. The motto of Anne Frank Day 2023 is "Ideals."
The Anne Frank Zentrum in Berlin provides participating schools with analog and digital learning materials. Students and teachers are encouraged to examine their own and others' ideals and values. In her diary, Anne Frank also wrote about her own ideals such as equality, justice and helpfulness.
The Anne Frank Zentrum is developing a large-format poster exhibition and other printed and digital learning materials as well as additional educational offerings for Anne Frank Day in cooperation with the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam and other partners. All learning materials are made available to schools free of charge.
The Anne Frank Zentrum in Berlin is the German partner organization of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. The Center commemorates Anne Frank and her diary through exhibitions and educational activities.
