Young Euro Classic 2018

The orchestra as a utopian endeavour, as a social model for communities encouraging participation – that is what Young Euro Classic has stood for since its founding in 2000.
Here, young musicians dedicate themselves with their full enthusiasm and at the highest level to the aspects which have made European orchestral culture special for centuries: its international and integrative aspects – fostering encounters, exchange and cooperation in peaceful coexistence. During these times of crises, the values embodied by the festival are as important as ever.

Young Euro Classic generates the audience of the future – with over 28,000 visitors annually whose average age is significantly below that of “normal” concert-visitors. Thus, Young Euro Classic counteracts the constant ageing of the audience. At Young Euro Classic, classical music is young and definitely has a future.
